31.12.2008 Thanking the visitors of our web site
Now that 2008 is gone, we would like to thank you for your numerous visits during this year. A total of 11,844 visits have been made during the year by 8,347 different visitors. You have downloaded a quarter or a million pictures, more than 60 GB!!! If we compare it to the previous year, all parameters have multiplied by 3 at least, some by 4, 5 or even 6 or more. I don't have a reference of visits made to other similar web sites, but we are very satisfied with the result, specially because of the progress during the year, as visits have been constantly increasing up to these final figures. This is the kind of thing that encourages us to improve it little by little. You have probably noticed that the NEWS site is filling up with contents now after being unavailable for a while for technical reasons. We will try and keep it up to date and as enjoyable as possible. We have added a new site called GALLERY, where we intend to upload pictures of our works but also of other works we find attractive or interesting due to their quality, originality, aesthetics or any other feature. If you have pictures of our works you can send us, they will be welcome. Sure they are better than the ones we take, as we are limited to certain hours and we can hardly ever choose the light, and also because of the photographers who “perpetrate” them (that is, us). So I insist, please send us your pictures (to info@mart.es) and we will upload them in our gallery showing the author's name. We are also thinking of creating a forum for debating or for queries about professional issues, but we have some reservations about this, as we are not sure we will be able to answer all your questions and we are afraid of disappointing you. We have not ruled it out yet, but if you have queries regarding our company, our products or our activity and you think we can answer them , just do not hesitate to send us an e-mail and we will do our best to reply to it. This way we can also get an idea about the convenience of creating the forum. It might even be fun! It is fair to mention here the people directly responsible (guilty) for www.mart.es, who are Manu Carmona, from our design department, and Fernando da Silva of Dosmasuno, the company who have created our web site and keep it up to date. Well, sorry about the lecture! Again we thank you for your visits and we encourage you to keep giving us ideas to improve our site or to make it more attractive and entertaining. And keep visiting us!
